How affiliate links work here

When you click an affiliate link on this site and later make a purchase, the merchant pays us a small commission. The price you pay is identical either way; the commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your pocket. We participate in the Amazon Associates program, through which we earn from qualifying purchases, and in supplier partner programs including Makesy's program. Affiliate links are marked in context, most visibly with the Affiliate tag on the supply modules that appear beneath the calculators.

What affiliate money pays for

Every calculator and generator on this site is free, requires no signup, and shows no gate before the answer. Affiliate commissions and advertising are what make that sustainable. When the tools help you and you were going to buy supplies anyway, buying through a link here is a way of keeping the tools free for the next maker. If you would rather not, that is completely fine, and nothing on the site will treat you differently for it.

What affiliate money never buys

Recommendations. Some of the suppliers we recommend most strongly pay us nothing; we link CandleScience in several places without any commission because trust matters more than the fee. If a product stops being the one we would buy ourselves, it comes off the list regardless of what it pays. No supplier has ever been given input into a calculator result, a formulation, or a review, and none ever will be. If you ever spot a recommendation that looks bought rather than earned, call it out and it will be addressed.
