Why show the studio at all

Plenty of candle content is filmed in spotless kitchens that have clearly never seen a wax spill. This page is the opposite of that. The equipment listed here is the equipment actually in use: the scale that weighs every batch, the pitchers with the pour spouts that finally stopped dripping, the thermometer that gets clipped to the same spot every melt. When a calculator on this site assumes something about your process, this room is where that assumption was tested first.

How things earn a place here

Everything in the studio was bought at retail and kept because it survived. The bar is simple: does it make batches more consistent or cleanup faster, and does it still work after a year of weekly use. Tools that failed that bar are not listed anywhere on this site, which is also why the supplies page is short rather than exhaustive. A shorter list you can trust beats a long one that is really an ad.
